Gruesome discovery
Shot before Shabbat? Haredi couple found dead in Jerusalem
Just hours before Shabbat, a quiet ultra-Orthodox neighborhood in Neve Yaakov is rocked by tragedy - police have launched an urgent investigation.

Residents of the Neve Yaakov and Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhoods in Jerusalem were shocked after a report was made on Friday evening that a Haredi couple had been found dead in their home with gunshot wounds.
Initial details indicate that the couple's eldest son, who is only 13 years old, saw his parents unconscious and called the rescue forces and the police.
United Hatzalah and MDA medics who arrived at the scene were forced to pronounce the two dead at the scene. The two suffered from gunshot wounds and a large police force was called to the scene to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.
MDA paramedic Eden Marziev and MDA emergency medicine medic Omri David said: "We were led to the apartment and saw a man and a woman in their 30s unconscious with no pulse and no breathing. We performed medical examinations and had to pronounce them dead on the spot."
The police said on Saturday evening: "Police officers from the Jerusalem District Judicial Station have begun investigating the circumstances of the deaths of a man and a woman who were found a short time ago in an apartment in a neighborhood in northern Jerusalem.
"Medical officials who were called to the scene were forced to pronounce the two dead. Police officers from the Jerusalem District Judicial and Forensic Identification Station, who were called to the scene of the incident, began collecting findings and examining the circumstances of the case. At this stage, the circumstances of the case are unclear and the police investigation is ongoing."
Moshe Zamir, who knew the family well attacked Minister Ben Gvir: "The husband got a gun license because of the attack in Neve Ya'akov, I said to him, 'Why do you need this stupid thing at home, what will it give you? Ben Gvir, it's a disgrace that the police don't protect us. Why does a person need it at home? He is not a security man. What is this stupidity?"
