Another blow to Hamas
Hamas terror mouthpiece Abdel-Latif al-Qanoua taken out in Jabalya airstrike
Al-Qanoua's death adds to the tally: 11 of 20 key Hamas leaders gone since late 2023, including political bureau members Ismail Barhoum and Salah al-Bardaweel taken out this week.

Abdel-Latif al-Qanoua, a leading voice for the Hamas terror organization, was killed in a pinpoint Israeli Air Force strike on his tent in the Jabalya refugee camp, northern Gaza Strip.
Hamas quickly broadcast his loss through its Shehab news agency, admitting al-Qanoua’s death in Jabalya: a known terror hub. Gaza sources reported additional IDF strikes overnight, operations that neutralized threats and caused casualties among Hamas fighters and their backers. Israel hasn’t officially commented, letting the strike’s success stand on its own. The Hamas-run Palestinian Health Ministry claimed “numerous” deaths and injuries, a common exaggeration to shift focus from their own attacks.
Al-Qanoua joined Hamas in the early 2000s as a student, rose to northern Gaza media director by 2007, and became a top spokesperson by 2016. He excelled at spinning terror, defending Hamas’s atrocities like the October 7 massacre and pinning blame on Israel in talks with Arab media such as Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.
On March 22, just five days before his elimination, he said: "We are ready for any arrangement regarding the management of Gaza on which there is agreement. We have no aspiration to manage Gaza, what concerns us is a national consensus, and we are committed to its outcomes."
Hamas’s terror regime is crumbling. As the IDF continues to eliminate threats, al-Qanoua’s end brings justice closer for October 7 victims and hope for a safer Israel, and the return of our hostages.
