The Menomadin Foundation will lead a powerful delegation of October 7 survivors, bereaved families, and residents of Gaza border communities to this year’s March of the Living, marking 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz and the end of World War II.

Under the urgent message “Never Again is Now,” this special group will join thousands in the 37th annual global remembrance, highlighting the ongoing struggle against antisemitism and violence.

For the second consecutive year, the Menomadin Foundation—founded and led by Haim Taib—is partnering with the World Zionist Organization, chaired by Yaakov Hagoel, to ensure the participation of Israeli voices most affected by modern atrocities. Among them are freed hostages, grieving families, and those who lived through the horrors of the October 7 Hamas attacks.

Israel’s President Isaac Herzog and First Lady Michal Herzog will lead the march alongside Polish President Andrzej Duda and 80 Holocaust survivors from around the world. At the central ceremony in Birkenau, a deeply symbolic musical moment will unfold: Hamas captivity survivor Agam Berger will perform together for the first time with singer Daniel Weiss, who lost both his parents in the October 7 massacre at Kibbutz Be’eri.

The two artists met this week to rehearse “Shir LaMa’alot” and a haunting solo piece on a 130-year-old Holocaust-surviving violin—famously featured in the film Schindler’s List. Their performance will take place at the main March of the Living ceremony on April 24, Israel’s Holocaust Memorial Day.

Among the October 7 Delegation is Sharon Sharabi, who will march with his brother, freed hostage Eli Sharabi. “Despite the immense emotional and physical weight of this journey,” he said, “it is our sacred duty to raise the cry of our brothers still trapped in Hamas tunnels. The promise of ‘Never Again’ must not become an empty phrase. Jewish lives must not be forsaken.”
