Bnei Brak man arrested in connection to synagogue arson in Tel Aviv

A Bnei Brak resident has been taken into custody after being linked to the firebombing of a synagogue in Tel Aviv.

On Tuesday, officers from the Yassam special police unit arrested a 23-year-old resident of Bnei Brak in connection with the arson of a synagoguehttps://www.jfeed.com/jewish-world/sg3xwg in Tel Aviv, according to a police spokesperson.

The incident occurred on Monday when a fire was set at a synagogue on Shmerling Street in Tel Aviv, causing damage to the property but thankfully no injuries.

Following an investigation and the collection of evidence, investigators were able to identify and locate the suspect. He was detained by Yassam officers from the Tel Aviv District and questioned. After the interrogation, it was decided to keep the suspect in custody. He was brought to court on Wednesday morning for an extension of his detention.
