More than 4,000 people have been killed in a massacre carried out by Jihadists in Syria, according to a report published Sunday night on Fox News.

According to reports coming from the field, the terrorists enter the villages, execute entire families, burn houses of worship, and brutally eliminate anyone perceived as opposing their rule.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that more than 340 Alawites were killed in just two days, but according to testimonies from the Alawite community in Europe, the number is much higher, and it is in the thousands. According to the testimony of an Alawite woman who fled from the Mishor al-Ghab area, she says that the militias call the Alawites "pigs" and claim that "the children should be eliminated before the elderly." According to her, armed men broke into her home last Thursday, threatened her with weapons, looted her property, and robbed neighbors of money.

The latest events fulfill the warning sounded months ago by the US Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, who warned of a terrorist takeover of Syria. In a Senate hearing, she said, "I have no love for Assad or any dictator, I just hate al-Qaeda. I hate that our leaders indulge in Islamist extremists and call them "rebels." Jihadists who danced in the streets on 9/11 and who were responsible for the deaths of many American soldiers."

While the international community is silent, Israel is one of the few countries that responds unequivocally. Defense Minister Israel Katz attacked the regime of Ahmed Al-Sharaa (al-Julani), putting an end to his attempts to present a moderate façade. "He took off his mask and exposed his true face: a jihadist from an al-Qaeda school who commits atrocities against civilians," he said. Katz stressed that Israel will work to ensure that southern Syria remains demilitarized and that the Druze population is protected.

Alawite sources in Europe appealed desperately for help, saying that the Islamist militias "want to kill us all." The community is asking Israel to act on their behalf, just as it is working to protect the Druze in Syria.

Despite the atrocities, al-Sharaa continues to broadcast seemingly moderate messages. In a pre-recorded speech, he claimed that "government forces will pursue the remnants of the old regime and bring them to a fair trial," but in practice, mass slaughter is taking place throughout the country, and anyone associated with the former regime or who does not belong to radical Sunni Islam is killed.
