Houthis to Israel: We are ready for all out war

The Houthi terrorist organization in Yemen clarifies that if fighting resumes, it will return to attacking Israel: "If the war in Gaza is renewed, we are prepared to move toward an all-out war."

Hizam al-Assad, a member of the Houthis' political bureau in Yemen, threatened in an interview with Hamas' official newspaper that if the war in Gaza resumes, his organization is ready to renew fighting even at the cost of a regional war.

According to him: "If the war in Gaza is renewed, we are prepared to move toward an all-out war, in which we will attack American interests in the region if they try to protect the Zionist entity or support it in its aggression against our people in Gaza, or attack our country."

It should be noted that this is not an unusual threat from the Yemeni terrorist organization. Messages like this are heard whenever the ceasefire is on the verge of collapse. Even when the war in Gaza and Lebanon ceased, the organization's leaders threatened to launch an attack on Israel because of IDF activity in Jenin.

Indeed, as soon as the hostage deal was reached and a ceasefire imposed, the Houthis repeatedly said that they were keeping in close contact with terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and that they would not hesitate to restart the war if Israeli "aggression" was renewed in the Gaza Strip.

The Houthis conducted a war against Israel and against shipping in the Red Sea shortly after October 7, threatening anyone remotely related to Israel and then US allies with missile and drone attacks, most of which were intercepted and some of which landed and led to minor casualties.

Israel and the US-led coalition began to strike back with increasing intensity, including ports and airports used strategically by the Houthis in the parts of Yemen it controls.
