Voluntary Transfer
Trump's Gaza plan: "Hundreds of thousands" will want to leave, per Israeli assessment
Channel 12 reported additional details from Defense Minister Israel Katz's plan to relocate those Gazans who wish to leave the war-torn Strip, including the security arrangements and the expected numbers.

Further details were revealed tonight (Monday) by Channel 12 regarding Israel's intention to assist the voluntary relocation of Gazans from the Gaza Strip, in accordance with President Donald Trump's idea of doing so for all Gazans.
As reported previously, Defense Minister Israel Katz discussed the establishment of an administration which would coordinate with the IDF and other government offices to assist those Gazans interested in leaving.
According to Channel 12, defense sources believe that hundreds of thousands will seek to emigrate. Israel emphasized that this is a voluntary relocation of those interested in leaving, not a forced expulsion, and that they are entirely coordinated with the United States and a third state selected to absorb them, candidates for which are already being talked to.
Those seeking to leave will be carefully checked and inspected to make sure terrorists do not succeed in leaving the Strip.
According to the report, Israel will see too all the details of the relocation, without American direct assistance: from the departure from the Gaza Strip.
Relocation will take place via Israel: on land via the Kerem Shalom crossing near the Egyptian border, by air via the Ramon airport, or by sea via the port of Ashdod.
Israel will also establish a transportation system to bring the interested Gazans to the crossings, with appropriate infrastructure set up to absorb and accommodate thousands of people at a time.
Palestinian leaders, Arab states, and European leaders have all vociferously opposed Trump's plan to relocate the displaced Gazan residents to other countries - especially theirs. Egypt is working intensively on an alternate plan which will rebuild the Strip in five years without moving a single Gazan outside the Strip.
The Israeli government, meanwhile, has repeatedly stated that it is only interested in helping those who wish to leave to leave, rather than forcibly expel anyone.
