No ceasefire where terror reigns
Breaking: IDF confirms conducting airstrikes in South Lebanon
The Israeli Air Force (IAF) launched targeted strikes on Hezbollah military sites on Thursday evening, which were identified as posing a direct threat to Israel’s home front. These sites, containing weapons and launchers, were operating in clear violation of the agreements between Israel and Lebanon.

The strikes, based on precise intelligence, targeted sites where Hezbollah’s terrorist activities were taking place, with the IDF Spokesperson's Unit confirming that these actions were a breach of established understandings between the two countries.
“Terrorist activity in these sites is a clear violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” said the IDF Spokesperson's Unit in a statement. The IDF emphasized its commitment to removing any threats to Israel, assuring that the military would continue its operations to prevent Hezbollah from rearming or rebuilding its forces. The statement also reiterated Israel’s adherence to the ceasefire understandings while stressing the need for further preventative measures.
Earlier in the evening, reports from Lebanon indicated that the IAF had struck Hezbollah positions in the Litani region in southern Lebanon. This action follows a series of similar operations, including a precise airstrike on Sunday against an underground tunnel used by Hezbollah for weapon smuggling from Syria into Lebanon. The tunnel had previously been targeted by Israeli forces in the Beqqa area.
Additionally, the IAF has targeted several other Hezbollah sites in Lebanon, which contained munitions and rocket launchers posing an imminent threat to Israeli security. The IDF Spokesperson's Unit again confirmed that these sites violated the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
Last Friday, another IAF strike took place in Lebanese territory, targeting two military sites with Hezbollah weapons in violation of the ceasefire agreement. The conflict between Israel and Lebanon has seen heightened tensions due to Hezbollah’s continued military presence in the region.
As per the ceasefire agreement, Israel was expected to transfer control of captured territories to Lebanon by January 26. However, Lebanon’s failure to provide sufficient forces to assume control led to the White House extending the ceasefire until February 18.
