Would Be A Very Easy Adjustment
Avigdor Liberman: Donald Trump's plan would work great in this location
Yisrael Beytenu leader MK Avigdor Liberman said that he supports President Trump's plan to relocate a significant number of Palestinians from war-torn Gaza to this site.

In an interview in Russian for the Knesset channel, Yisrael Beytenu leader MK Avigdor Liberman said that he supported the Trump plan for relocating Gazans from the war-torn Gaza Strip, proposing the Sinai peninsula as the appropriate location to move them.
Liberman said that he supported moving "at least" half of the Gazan population to the Sinai peninsula, which borders the Gaza Strip. His argument was that this was an area controlled by Egypt for "thousands of years" until 1967 when Israel took over the Strip and divided the territory.
Liberman also noted that the two areas are already connected - Rafah is literally divided into a Palestinian portion and an Egyptian portion, "just like Berlin" during the Cold War, and moving Gazans there would therefore not involve any serious disruption in terms of culture or climate.
According to Channel 12 reporter Amit Segal, President Trump is seriously looking into moving the displaced Gazan population "permanently" to Puntland, Somaliland, and Morocco - all of them in Africa and all possessing empty areas in need of settlement.
Per the report, the United States can offer Puntland and Somaliland recognition of their independence and Morocco recognition of sovereignty over the western Sahara in exchange for agreeing to absorb hundreds of thousands of Palestinians into an area that is predominantly Sunni Muslim, anyway.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has openly expressed his support for Trump's plan, and has said that he seeks to work with Prime Minister Netanyahu and the rest of the government to make it a "reality." Netanyahu himself also said that the plan is "the first good idea" he's heard and that it's "remarkable" - with the caveat that Palestinians should be allowed to return if they wish.
Otzmah Yehudit leader Itamar Ben-Gvir said that he would return to the government as soon as the plan is actually put in motion.
