WATCH: Magen David Adom arrives at Jordan Valley terror attack scene

Magen David Adom arrived quickly on the scene of the Jordan Valley terror attack with ambulances and a helicopter and helped treat and evacuate the wounded today (Tuesday).

Magen David Adom released the following statement:

"This morning (Tuesday) at 06:12, reports were received at MDA's 101 dispatch center in the Gilboa region about a shooting incident at the Tayasir checkpoint in the Jordan Valley. Magen David Adom teams were dispatched to the scene and assisted IDF medical forces with initial treatment and evacuation of the wounded.

"Four intensive care units and three ambulances arrived at the scene, and six additional ambulances were dispatched to the helicopter landing pads at Rambam and Beilinson hospitals. An MDA helicopter was dispatched to the event and placed on standby in a nearby area. After initial medical treatment at the scene and at the helicopter landing pad, 4 wounded were evacuated to Beilinson Hospital, and two wounded to Rambam Hospital.

"MDA paramedic Denis Polkov said: We arrived at the scene with MDA ambulances and intensive care units, together with IDF medical forces we provided medical treatment to 6 wounded who were evacuated by IDF helicopters, and we evacuated them by ambulances from the landing pads at the hospitals to the trauma rooms."

Samaria Council head Yossi Dagan responded today to the terrorist attack in the Jordan valley which wounded eight, including two critically, by calling for a much tougher stance on terrorism in Judea and Samaria.

In his statement, Dagan said that:

"Murderous terrorism strikes again, and we must not continue with this weak policy. Just as we eliminated terrorist infrastructure in Gaza, we must act the same way in Judea and Samaria - with an iron fist, determination, and without hesitation. There is no difference between a terrorist from Nablus and a terrorist from Khan Yunis. I demand that the Prime Minister and Defense Minister order the targeted elimination of all terrorist leaders and stop any thought of releasing terrorists in Judea and Samaria.

"The head of the Samaria Regional Council strengthened the security forces operating in the field: "We embrace the IDF soldiers and security forces who are on the frontlines and physically protecting Israeli citizens. We strengthen them, give them our full backing, and demand that the political echelon give them all the tools to achieve victory."
