"Yesterday [Saturday] President Donald Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that after former president Joe Biden blocked a shipment of 2,000-lb bombs to Israel, “We released them. We released them today. And they’ll have them. They paid for them and they’ve been waiting for them for a long time. They’ve been in storage", as reported by Times of Israel.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued the following statement thanking Trump for his help in stopping the embargo: "Thank you President Trump for keeping your promise to give Israel the tools it needs to defend itself, to confront our common enemies and to secure a future of peace and prosperity".
Otzma Yehudit leader Itamar Ben-Gvir endorsed former U.S. President Trump's proposal to relocate Gaza residents to Egypt and Jordan, calling on Israel's government to "implement migration encouragement immediately."
Ben-Gvir, who has repeatedly advocated for voluntary migration from Gaza, said Trump's backing as "the leader of the world's greatest superpower" validates the controversial policy.
Ben Gvir did not mention that according to Trump, it's a temporary migration so that Gaza can begin its rehabilitation (or so that other countries can start to rebuild Gaza) and that the Gazans will return as soon as 2026.
