The terrorist who attacked multiple Israelis today (Tuesday), wounding one seriously, may be an American permanent resident who entered the country three days ago, according to documents found on his person.
Security forces found a permanent resident ID on the person of the neutralized terrorist who stabbed four Israelis, two of whom are in moderate to serious condition.
According to the card, the terrorist's name is Abdelaziz Kaddi. His visa, issued in 2022, is a DV1 visa, a "diversity visa" allotted to 50,000 applicants from around the world from countries with low immigration rates to the United States.
Abdelaziz is a Moroccan born in 1995, and according to a Border Control permit, he entered the country three days ago and was set to leave in four days.
According to Yossi Eli, an investigative reporter for Channel 13 News, the border control officials did not want to let him enter the country, but the Shin Bet said that he could.
According to reporter Josh Breiner, the terrorist aroused the suspicion of Border Control because he arrived from Poland and said he'd be staying for four days without mentioning any hotel or place to sleep or relatives he could visit in a questionnaire.
Interior Minister Moshe Arbel praised the border control officials who did not want to let Abdelaziz into the country, and asked that Shin Ben director Ronen Bar investigate the failure of his agency to identify the threat the terrorist posed.
Magen David Adom medics and paramedics reported transporting 4 victims to Ichilov hospital, all suffering stab wounds from the attack. 2 males aged 28 and 24 with upper body stab wounds were reported to be in moderate condition, and 2 were in mild condition, aged 24 and 59.
