A senior EU official told Al-Arabiya that "Israel has made a decision to attack Iran's nuclear facilities." The significant report comes on the day of the inauguration of Donald Trump, who is considered aggressive against the Iranians.

According to the official, Israel is expected to carry out the attack in the coming months, against the backdrop of "developments in the Middle East over the past few months." However, he said it was unclear exactly when the attack would take place.

The official added that it is currently unclear whether the United States, led by President Trump, will join the attack, according to Channel 12 News.

Over the weekend, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards unveiled a first-of-its-kind underground naval base, located about 500 meters below the surface. The innovative facility contains offensive vessels, equipped with advanced missiles. The commander of the Revolutionary Guards fleet boasted that only three Zolfagar-class vessels were capable of sinking an American aircraft carrier.

Last week, Iranian President Pashzakian addressed the possibility that Israel and the United States would attack Iran in order to prevent it from obtaining nuclear weapons, claiming in response that Iran was not seeking war "but would be prepared to defend itself if its nuclear sites were attacked."

He added: "Naturally, we will respond to any action. We are not afraid of war, but we are not looking for it. I really hope it doesn't happen, because it will be to the detriment of all the players, not just us."
