The three hostages, Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher and Emily Damari, are now being escorted by an elite unit of the IDF and an ISA force on their way back to Israel, where they will undergo an initial medical evaluation.

Together with the entire people of Israel, I am thrilled to see Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher and Emily Damari – three of our sisters who were brutally abducted on October 7 by Hamas terrorists, today welcome home, after 471 days!"
He continued: "I wish them a speedy reunion with their families in good health, and I pray for the release of all the abductees – that life will return to their families, and that the fallen will be brought to the grave of Israel with dignity. The State of Israel is committed to bringing everyone home with the help of G-d, this is our moral and Jewish duty."

The Hostage Administration and Sheba representatives were concerned about the broadcast of the arrival of the hostages, but the GPO clarified: "We have a few hours before the international media will no longer be interested in us and will move on to covering Trump's inauguration. We must counter the broadcasts of the buses of the terrorists who will be released from prison with V-marks. It's important for public diplomacy."
