The IDF Spokesperson in Arabic released an evacuation map a short time ago today (Wednesday) for residents of the D5 area of Jebaliya, following rocket fire from the vicinity.
The IDF Spokesperson in Arabic informed those living in this part of Jebaliya that the IDF will soon be operating in the area to root out the terrorists and rockets there, fired at IDF forces and Israel "despite several past warnings."
He told the Gazans that for their own safety, they should move "immediately" to shelters in the center of Gaza City.
The IDF has replaced the Gaza Division operating in the northern Gaza Strip with the 162nd Division, with the aim of fully extirpating Hamas terrorists, weapons and infrastructure from areas such as Beit Hanoun.
The question of the hostage deal's fate remains up in the air, as sources from Hamas and other terrorist groups continue to claim a lack of clear information from the IDF as well as efforts by the Israeli government to torpedo the deal by adding new requirements or demands, claims the Israeli government denies.
A number of Israeli hospitals have been ordered to be ready to receive the hostages in the event the deal is finalized.
While Israel has reportedly agreed to withdraw from the Gaza Strip according to the deal - first from the Netzarim corridor and other areas in the first phase, then from other areas in the second and third phases - it is reportedly insisting on holding onto a mile-wide buffer zone inside the Strip to shield Israeli towns and cities near the border, which were devastated during October 7.
According to the first stage of the proposed hostage deal, Israel is set to receive 34 hostages, most of whom are believed to be alive. In exchange, it will release hundreds of terrorists, including those with life sentences.
A ceasefire will also be in place for a month and a half, during which the two sides will discuss the next stages of the deal.
