In 2023, 558 soldiers were killed as opposed to just 44 in 2022 - 329 of them on October 7 alone.

512 died during operational activity, 16 of them in accidents: 2 in training accidents, 4 in civilian accidents, 5 in military accidents, 1 in a weapons accident, and 4 in other kinds of accidents.

17 are being investigated as suspected suicides, 10 died of illness, and 3 fell due to enemy incidents.

A large number of soldiers also died in 2024 - 363 enlisted, regular, and reserve soldiers, all told.
