Hanukkah with wounded warriors: IDF Chief of Staff visits soldiers in Sheba hospital

Halevi expressed his appreciation to the medical staff and lit the fifth Hanukkah candle with the wounded and their families.

IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi visited wounded IDF and defense personnel recovering at Sheba Hospital's rehabilitation wing yesterday (Monday) and celebrated Hanukkah with them and their families.

While there, Halevi said that "I come to meet the troops in the field a lot, and I know how much stronger our soldiers are when they hear that you are strong here and that you are heroes here, and you should know that your heroism here makes all of us, all of the IDF, more determined to bring about the goals of these war in full."

"I salute you from all the brigades, from all the corps, from all the professions," he went on. "You are all heroes because you were there. You are all heroes because you worked. And you are all heroes because you are on a heroic journey to heal, to recover."
