But They Still Want To Play Empire

50% of Iranians aged 24-50 unemployed, currency crashing

Iran, defiant in its efforts to support terrorist groups throughout the Middle East, is facing a series of serious economic headwinds.

Iran's Parliamentary Research Center said today (Saturday), that nearly 50% of Iranians aged 24-50 are not employed, another grim statistic adding to the countries mounting internal problems, according to Iran International.

Unemployment is not the only problem the Islamic Republic faces. The value of the Iranian rial has been crashing over the past year and especially since the victory of Donald Trump in the presidential elections, with expected harder sanctions and economic "maximum pressure" against the country for its nuclear program and terrorist sponsorship.

Worse, sanctions and lack of investment in oil production and refining infrastructure has led the hydrocarbon power without sufficient fuel to heat homes or power important industries. Even televisions shows have endured sudden blackouts.
