The IDF hit a crowning achievement in its operations in Jebaliya by capturing over 240 Hamas and Palestinian Jihad operatives during a major operation in Kamal Adwan hospital during Shabbat (Saturday).
The IDF said that the hospital continued to serve as a base for terrorist operations, including the use of anti-tank missile fire at IDF operatives and the planning of terrorist activity against the army despite repeated warnings by the IDF.
Prior to the operation, hundreds of patients and caregivers were evacuated from the hospital under IDF guidance and surveillance and in coordination with COGAT over the previous few weeks prior to the operation.
Upon the commencement of the operation itself, the 401st Brigade encircled the hospital while Shayetet 13 special forces penetrated the building and captured terrorists and weapons. 15 of the 240 or so terrorists are suspected to have taken part in the October 7th massacre.
The director of the hospital was also arrested as a suspected Hamas operative himself.
