Major Hod Shriebman killed in action in Gaza today
Another soldier was seriously wounded during the incident, which is reportedly under IDF investigation.
The IDF announced a short time ago today (Thursday) that Major Hod Shriebman, a platoon commander from the IDF's multidimensional unit (888), was killed earlier today in northern Gaza.
According to Amit Segal, this is the second soldier to be killed in action today in the area.
Another soldier was reportedly seriously wounded during the incident that killed Shriebman. The IDF said that the incident is under investigation.
Earlier this week, three soldiers were killed in an IED explosion west of Beit Hanoun and a fourth injured.
The IDF is reportedly continuing to operate in strength in northern Gaza, with many very loud blasts audible as far away as the city of Ashdod.
