The IDF's Brigade 188 discovered and neutralized an extensive underground weapons facility in southern Lebanon, revealing the intricate infrastructure used by Hezbollah militants.

The combat team, operating within the parameters of the recent Israel-Lebanon ceasefire agreement, uncovered a highly organized complex featuring eight interconnected weapon storage locations both above and below ground. The sophisticated setup included a network of underground tunnels linking various storage areas.

Soldiers from the brigade's engineering unit documented an extensive cache that contained anti-tank missiles, explosive charges, communication equipment, electrical infrastructure, computers, and electronic systems. This comprehensive weapons complex demonstrated the detailed preparation and technological sophistication of militant infrastructure in the region.

Beyond the primary weapons complex, troops also identified a strategic firing position oriented toward northern Israeli settlements, complete with additional weapon storage. The precision of the discovery highlighted the IDF's ongoing intelligence and operational capabilities.

The IDF systematically destroyed the entire facility and seized all discovered combat materials, demonstrating continued precision in its southern Lebanon operations.

The discovery comes weeks after Israeli officials, including Defense Minister Israel Katz, warned Hezbollah about maintaining distance from Israeli border regions and adhering to ceasefire agreements. The operation represents a critical component of ongoing efforts to maintain regional stability and protect Israeli civilian populations.

Detailed military assessments are ongoing, with the IDF maintaining heightened surveillance of the southern Lebanon region.
