Yisrael Beytenu MK Yulia Malinovsky responded today (Wednesday) to reports that the UN intends to vote on and pass a resolution asking for an Advisory Opinion from the Hague regarding Israel's ban on UNRWA activity in the country.

In her response, Malinovsky said that "the State of Israel is an independent and sovereign state. It is our full right to decide what organizations we are willing to work with."

She then continued: "UNRWA deviated, and this is an understatement, from her mission for many years and we received a painful demonstration of this on October 7," a reference to the participation of some UNRWA workers in the massacre.

She ended by saying that "as the initiator of the law, I stand behind this important legislation which restored some of our honor as a nation and suggest the UN deal with the many other problems in the world, including in Syria, and not to look for the State of Israel with a microscope."
