IDF Dismantles Underground Rocket Site in Gaza

IDF forces have uncovered and dismantled an underground rocket launching site in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, targeting communities in southern Israel. Over the past 24 hours, IDF troops discovered three underground multi-barrel rocket launchers, along with additional weapons, in the area.

The war in Gaza: IDF spokesperson confirmed today (Friday) that the forces of Division 162 continue to operate in the areas of Jabalia and Beit Lahia. During the operation of the Kfir Brigade's battalion combat team in the Beit Lahia area, the forces located and destroyed launchers that had been buried and aimed at the communities surrounding Gaza, containing dozens of launch tubes. Additionally, during the operation, the forces located numerous weapons.

It was also stated that the combat team fighters of the Nahal Brigade continue to fight in the Rafah area under the command of the Gaza Division. (143). In the past 24 hours, the forces have located tunnels, eliminated terrorists, and destroyed terrorist infrastructure.

As part of the attacks, the forces identified an armed terrorist cell moving towards them. Air Force aircraft attacked the cell and eliminated it.

In Rafah, IDF units located tunnel shafts, eliminated terrorist operatives, and dismantled terrorist infrastructure sites as part of ongoing operations.

During these actions, troops identified a terrorist cell approaching their position, which was subsequently neutralized by the Israeli Air Force (IAF) to prevent further threats. Earlier this week, IDF Arabic spokesman Avichay Adraee ordered the evacuation of residents from al-Marazi in central Gaza.

“Terrorist groups are once again launching rockets towards Israel from your area,” Adraee warned. “This area has been previously warned multiple times. For your safety, evacuate immediately and move to the designated humanitarian zone.”
