Mandate poll reveals major obstacle for Netanyahu
Poll: Benjamin Netanyahu strengthens; but the coalition is collapsing due to one factor
The Likud party, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, is gaining three seats, according to a new poll. However, his coalition is collapsing following the disappearance of the Religious Zionist Party.

A new mandate poll published this morning on the 'Maariv' website reveals that the Likud, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, has strengthened by three mandates. However, the coalition is significantly weakened following the drop of the 'Religious Zionism' party below the electoral threshold.
According to the poll conducted by 'Lazar Research', if the elections were held today, the distribution of mandates would look like this: Likud 25 mandates (22 in the previous poll), the National Unity Camp 19 (19), Yesh Atid 14 (15), Yisrael Beiteinu 14 (14), the Democrats 13 (12), Shas 10 (9), Otzma Yehudit 8 (7), United Torah Judaism 7 (8), Hadash-Taal 5 (5), Ra'am 5. (5).
According to the division into blocs: the coalition bloc – 50 mandates. Like in the previous poll, the opposition bloc – 60 mandates. The Arab parties – 10 mandates.
Additionally, the survey examined a scenario in which a new party led by Naftali Bennett would compete in the elections. In such a scenario, the distribution of mandates would look like this: A new right-wing party led by Bennett 24 (27), Likud 23 (20), the National Unity Party 13 (13), Yesh Atid 11 (11), the Democrats 10 (10), Shas 8 (8), United Torah Judaism 7 (7), Yisrael Beiteinu 7 (7), Otzma Yehudit 7 (7), Hadash-Ta'al 5 (5), Ra'am 5. (5).
According to the division into blocs: the coalition bloc – 45 mandates. The opposition bloc + Naftali Bennett – 65 mandates. The Arab parties 10 seats.
