Released for publication: drone launched from Iraq strikes Eilat building

A hostile aircraft launched from Iran managed to penetrate Israel's air defenses and cause light damage to a structure. No casualties were reported.

The IDF announced this morning (Monday) that a hostile aircraft launched from Iraq into Israel managed to penetrate aerial defenses and struck a structure in the Gulf of Eilat.

According to the IDF Spokesperson: "Following up on warnings of a hostile aircraft penetrating to the city of Eilat and the region of Eilat, IDF forces identified a suspicious aerial target which crossed over from the east into the territory of the State of Israel. The target fell in the area of the Gulf of Eilat. There are no casualties and light damage was done to a structure."
