Israeli pop star and actor Idan Amedi marked his musical return today with a deeply personal song dedicated to his fallen comrades, following months of recovery from severe combat injuries sustained in Gaza.

"While there are no superheroes in real life, you're the closest I've ever met," Amedi wrote in an emotional social media post announcing the release. The message was directed at his fellow wounded warriors still recovering in hospitals across Israel.

The singer, who suffered serious injuries during military operations in Gaza, spent weeks recovering at Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital. His new song emerges as both a personal milestone and a tribute to his lost platoon members - Alexey, Akiva, Gavriel, and Eliran.

"I want to thank everyone who was part of my long journey this past year - from the hospital staff to the rehabilitation team, from the recording studio to my support system at home," Amedi shared. "This song wouldn't exist without you all."

The release comes amid ongoing conflict, with Amedi adding a poignant note about the hostages still held in Gaza: "May we see them come home soon."

Amedi's recovery and return to music has been closely followed by fans across Israel, where he's known both for his musical career and his acting role in the internationally acclaimed series "Fauda."
