After the Eurovision management announced that Israel will participate in this year's competition, the Composers Union of Iceland threatened to withdraw from the competition if Israel is not disqualified: "Like Russia last year."

Last Sunday, the management of the Eurovision clarified that Israel will participate in the competition in 2024, despite the many protests that called for a boycott.

There are those who are not happy with the decision, among them Iceland. The Union of Composers and Lyrics of Iceland has stated that it opposes the country's participation in Eurovision 2024 unless Israel is disqualified.

Two days ago (Monday), the Icelandic Union of Composers and Writers published an official letter in which it expressed its anger at the decision: "The Union of Composers and Lyricists, calls not to participate in Eurovision in 2024 unless Israel is denied participation in the competition for the same reason as Russia in the last competition."

Later, they listed the reasons they claim are justified enough to deny Israel participation: "We all have the duty to take a stand against war and the killing of innocent civilians and children. We always have the choice not to put our names to such things, whether we are individuals or state institutions . We must not associate nations operating with military force in an event that is always characterized by joy and optimism."

Are the people from Iceland in the photo aware of how Palestinians feel about men who look that way? Do they realize they wouldn't survive a day in Gaza? Bizarre. And their claim - what about Hamas using their military force against Israelis and being the first to attack?
