The world is celebrating World Opera Day today (25.10). In the shadow of rising antisemitism around the world, the Israeli Opera issued an emotional call to all opera houses around the world to show their solidarity with the Israeli people and take part in the effort to free the captives. So, instead of celebrating the international holiday, the Israeli Opera released a special English-language performance of Les Miserables’ song “Bring Him Home.”

Watch:

The performance includes clips of the kidnapped children and photographs of the various posters containing all the hostages, which have been put up around the country and the world.
