Gal Gadot to join Rachel Zegler at Met Gala after six-year hiatus

Gadot is a largely diplomatic and beloved actress with many box-topping movies under her belt. If anyone misbehaves, it will likely be Zegler, a newcomer whose impetuousness caused the movie to crash and burn.

Israeli actress Gal Gadot is set to make a high-profile return to the Met Gala, marking her first appearance at fashion’s elite event in six years, according to a recently leaked guest list. Gadot, absent from the Metropolitan Museum’s iconic steps since 2019, joins a star-packed lineup that includes her "Snow White" co-star Rachel Zegler.

When Gadot went to the Met Gala outing in 2019, she wore a white lace Givenchy dress by Claire Waight Keller, paired with black over-the-knee boots, a bold headpiece, and $200,000 in Tiffany jewelry. Her return this year follows a stylistic shift under new stylist Karla Welch, who’s steered her toward a fresher, modern vibe since parting ways with Elizabeth Stewart. Fashion insiders predict Gadot will lean into timeless elegance with a twist—, ossibly tapping Loewe, Armani, or Prada, brands she’s favored recently, fitting the event’s bespoke “Tailored For You” dress code.

The announcement comes amid buzz around "Snow White," where Gadot’s collaboration with Zegler, known for pro-Palestinian statements, has stirred controversy. Both actresses will attend the gala, which celebrates “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” spotlighting Black dandyism and the Met’s first men’s fashion exhibit since 2003. Other big names on the list include Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Timothée Chalamet, and Selena Gomez, ensuring a night of glitz under Anna Wintour’s watch.

The Met Gala is held annually on the first Monday in May, and it raises funds for the vaunted Metropolitan Museum of Art. For Gadot, it’s a comeback layered with anticipation, both for her red-carpet look and the spotlight on her cinematic ties.

It will be interesting to see how Gadot and Zegler relate to each other, especially after their film Snow White has bombed, largely because of Zegler's strange woke comments and anti-Israel commentary. It's also recently come to light that Zegler's comments caused a massive increase in death threats against Gadot and her daughters, causing Disney to hire extra protection at great expense.
