Saada family tragedy: Police charge Miriam Yarimi for deadly Brooklyn crash

Yarmi has been transferred to Bellevue Hospital’s psychiatric ward for evaluation.

A 32-year-old woman faces manslaughter charges after allegedly speeding through a red light and killing a 35-year-old Natasha Saada and her two daughters on Ocean Parkway in Brooklyn. The crash occurred on Saturday, April 1, 2025, around 1 p.m., police reported.

Miriam Yarimi, driving a 2023 Audi A3 with a suspended license and no insurance, is believed to have been traveling at 50 mph in a 25-mph zone, according to police sources. Investigators are analyzing traffic cameras, a bystander’s dashcam, and the vehicle’s “black box” data to determine her exact speed and braking actions. Skid marks at the scene are also being examined. Authorities ruled out alcohol or drugs as factors, noting Yarimi’s license suspension stemmed from an insurance lapse.

Yarimi sustained minor injuries and received initial treatment at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn before being transferred to Bellevue Hospital’s psychiatric ward for evaluation. She remains there pending arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court on charges of manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, assault, reckless driving, and speeding.

As reported by the NY Post, "Her driving record has been allegedly dismal: The Audi racked up over 93 traffic violations on her designer license plate “WIGM8KER” including 20 speeding tickets, with more than $10,000 in fines, according to the online records site “How’s My Driving.” Those violations include a ticket for speeding through a school zone in Brooklyn on March 16, records showed. Since August 2023, her Audi has received 20 speed-camera tickets and five red-light tickets, as well as dozens of parking infractions."
