Trapped in the flames: Yeshiva student fights for his life
After 20 agonizing minutes in a burning Brooklyn apartment, a 20-year-old from Lod shows signs of recovery.

The condition of the 20-year-old yeshiva student, who was critically injured in a fire that broke out in the apartment where he lived with his friends in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, is improving and is described as stable tonight (between Sunday and Monday).
The fire took place on Friday morning in an apartment where 19 students of the central Chabad Yeshiva Tumei Tamimim lived, near the 770th Chabad World Center. Four young men were evacuated from the fire in serious condition, including one in critical condition.
The critically wounded man's parents, residents of Lod, boarded a flight to New York to accompany their son. The other three are expected to be released in the coming days.
The 20-year-old was unable to jump out of the apartment, as his friends did, and was trapped in it for about 20 minutes. He was burned on 50% of his body parts in degrees 2 and 3. It was reported that the Israeli consulate in New York was accompanying the wounded and assisting them in providing them with documents and equipment.
According to a preliminary investigation, the fire broke out following the ignition of an electric radiator. Footage released from the scene reveals the extensive damage caused to the apartment, which was completely burned down.
