Foiled terror attack: Man arrested en route to NYC after threatening synagogue shooting
Authorities acted swiftly, stopping the Utah suspect just before he entered Manhattan, following disturbing online posts.

A man in the U.S. state of Utah threatened to shoot at synagogues in New York in a series of social media posts. The man was arrested while on his way to Manhattan through the Lincoln Tunnel last Friday.
Luis Ramirez, 23, was arrested at around 5:30 p.m. on Friday by New Jersey Port Authority officers after authorities received a warning about him for anti-Semitic posts he posted on his X account, the New York Post reported.
In one post, Ramirez mentioned the main synagogue on Lexington Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, police said. The New York Police Department learned that Ramirez was on his way to Manhattan, and the police were able to arrest him before he reached Manhattan.
Ramirez, who has no criminal record, was in possession of a firearm when he was previously arrested in Kansas City, ABC reported, and had no weapons in his car when he was arrested outside the Lincoln Tunnel on Friday. No indictment was filed because the investigation is ongoing.
