WATCH: Australian doctor admits killing Israeli patients in hospital

Two doctors at a Sydney hospital have been suspended after a video surfaced showing them making violent threats against Jewish patients, prompting a police investigation, officials confirmed on Wednesday.

The video, originally shared by TikTok user Max Veifer, an Israeli social media figure, shows him conversing with a man and woman wearing medical scrubs. After Veifer mentioned his Israeli background, the male nurse responded, “I’m so upset that you’re Israeli … eventually, you’re going to get killed and go to (hell).” The female nurse added, “It’s Palestine’s country, not your country,” using an expletive, and went on to say she would refuse to treat Jewish patients and instead harm them.

The male nurse made a threatening gesture and claimed he had already sent many Israeli patients to “Jahannam,” the Arabic term for Islamic hell.

New South Wales (NSW) Health Minister Ryan Park announced that the two nurses had been “stood down immediately” and vowed they would never work for NSW Health again. “The investigative process is now underway, and we will not tolerate this kind of behavior in our healthcare system,” he told reporters.

NSW Police confirmed that its antisemitism taskforce is investigating the video, with the individuals involved cooperating with authorities. Meanwhile, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stated that the Australian Federal Police had offered full assistance in the investigation.

Veifer, who frequently posts content related to the Middle East on TikTok, has over 102,000 followers, with his videos amassing 4.2 million likes.
