During rapper Kendrick Lamar's spectacular halftime show at the Super Bowl last night (between Sunday and Monday), a Palestinian flag was raised on the stage in front of over a hundred million people who watched the prestigious sporting event around the world.

According to the production, one of the dancers who participated in the show, dressed in black clothes like the rest of the participants, took advantage of the opportunity. After hiding Palestine and Sudan flags in his pocket, he took them out during the last song of the show, while standing on a black Grand National car that was part of the production. He then jumped off the stage and ran down the field, carrying the flags, before being stopped by security guards and taken out of the stadium.

The NFL issued a statement condemning the act and expressing appreciation for the security guards who acted quickly. Representatives of the production company Roc Nation, which is responsible for the show, claimed that the event was not planned in advance and was the act of a lone person.

It was an unforgettable night for Americans enjoying one of the biggest sporting events in the world – the Super Bowl. Every Israeli who stayed awake got to see a historic display by the Philadelphia Eagles, who defeated the Kansas City Chiefs with a result that no one expected – 22:40.
