Anti-Semitic attacks in Australia continue with intensity: On Tuesday night a children's daycare center located near a synagogue in the Sydney Australia was set on fire.
The incident took place about an hour after midnight, Sydney time, when unknown assailants set fire to the children's daycare center, which is located in the Jewish community center, which also has a synagogue.
In addition, the same criminals spray-painted hate graffiti with obscene words against the Jews and the local community.
The firefighters who were called to the scene managed to bring the fire under control, but the daycare center suffered heavy property damages. There were no casualties reported.
This case is unfortunately not new in Australia and recently a number of similar incidents have taken place in the city of Sydney - which is the largest of Australia's cities.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that anti-Semitic graffiti was spray-painted on a car at night in an area where many Jews live in eastern Sydney. This incident sparked outrage among the city's Jewish community and drew widespread condemnation across Australia. As far as is known, the owner of the vehicle on which the graffiti was sprayed is not Jewish.
This anti-Semitic incident joins a string of serious incidents in recent months against Jews across Australia, with anti-Semitism now ostensibly hiding under the cover of the war in Gaza.
