Authorities in Toronto and York Region are investigating two separate incidents targeting La Briut, a kosher restaurant and catering business, involving antisemitic graffiti, vandalism, and break-ins.

The first incident occurred early Friday morning at around 3:00 a.m. at La Briut’s office in Markham, north of Toronto. Suspects broke into the property, stealing items and defacing the interior with hateful messages, including “F**k Jews” and “Free Gaza,” spray-painted on the walls.

York Regional Police described the damage as significant in a statement, noting, “The suspects vandalized the property causing significant damage, and left antisemitic graffiti on the property.” The police also released black-and-white surveillance images showing two masked individuals using spray paint inside the building.

In a second incident, La Briut’s restaurant, located at Dufferin Street and Steeles Avenue West in northern Toronto, was also broken into. The front door was shattered, and items were stolen from the premises.

Toronto Police Service is investigating the second break-in, while York Regional Police continue their probe into the Markham office attack.
