Netanel Elpeleg, a 19-year-old Jewish man, told the Jerusalem Post that he was physically removed from a store in the city of Bergen, Norway, after it was revealed that he was Jewish and a supporter of Zionism.

Elpeleg, who came to the city with friends, went into a local store and spoke with one of the vendors. During the conversation, the seller said that he was originally from Yemen and the Palestinian territories. In response, Alleg told him that he was half Israeli, and added: "I really want to be at peace with you. I hope we can be friends in the future."

The salesman asked Elpeleg, "Are you a Zionist?" and Elfeleg replied, "To be a Zionist is to support the right of Jews to have a state of their own. I agree with that, so I'm a Zionist, but right now I just want to buy."

The seller's response was verbal and physical. He called Elpeleg a "child murderer" and told him that he was not allowed to enter the store. When Elpeleg began filming the event, which was later posted on social media by his father, the salesman shouted at him to "get out, get out" while pushing him out of the store. Elpeleg asked, "Is it because I'm Jewish?" and the seller answered in the affirmative.

Elpeleg expressed disappointment at the fact that none of the customers or employees present at the event intervened on his behalf.

In response to the incident, the leader of the far-right Alliance party in Norway, Hans-Jørgen Johansen, posted a video on TikTok in which he claimed that Elpeleg had lied and deliberately came to the store to harass the Arab worker. Johansen also added anti-Semitic derogatory remarks, saying: "It's all Jewish lies, as they always create these narratives. The lies from these people are just non-stop, it's been going on for thousands of years."
