An Israeli man in his 30s tragically died on Tuesday following a snowmobile accident at the Azuga ski resort in central Romania.
The man was on a trip with three friends when he lost control of the snowmobile, plunging into a creek from a height of five meters.
Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene and retrieved him from the creek. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed that the Department for Israelis Abroad and the Consul in Romania are in contact with the man’s family. They are assisting with the arrangements to repatriate his body to Israel for burial.
