An organization that includes hundreds of lawyers from Chile called for the arrest of an IDF soldier visiting the country who, according to the Hind Rajab Foundation, which works against IDF soldiers, is traveling in Patagonia in the south of the country.
"We have filed a complaint with the aim of investigating and arresting the soldier as a preventive measure, so that he will be prosecuted in the International Court of Justice for the crimes committed under his responsibility," Attorney Nelson Haddad said at a press conference.
Ynet reported that 620 members of the country's bar association demanded the immediate arrest of the soldier, accusing him of "committing war crimes in Gaza."
Attorney Haddad added at a press conference: "The issue is of great urgency. We must take responsibility, and we cannot accept that after slaughtering hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, most of them children and women, they will be allowed to enjoy a vacation in Patagonia."
In the meantime, another fighter who was in Brazil and against whom an arrest request was filed has left Brazil and is on his way to Israel. "The main thing is that he's not in Brazil," his father said. "He left and we are waiting for him to return to Israel. Everything will be fine." This happened hours after it was reported in Brazil that a court had ordered police to investigate the soldier, a survivor of the Nova massacre, on suspicion of war crimes in Gaza.
