One menorah per hostage: Danny Danon shames the UN
UN Ambassador Danny Danon placed a table with a hundred menorahs and a large yellow ribbon opposite the United Nations building, calling on everyone celebrating Hannukah to remember the hostages.

Israel's UN Ambassador Danny Danon and Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak Neuman, Chabad emissary to the diplomatic community in New York, placed a display for the freedom of the hostages opposite the United Nations building today (Wednesday).
The exhibit includes a large yellow ribbon made up of flowers, a popular symbol for protestors and pro-hostage release advocates in Israel and around the world.
It also includes a long table containing a menorah for each and every hostage still being held in Gaza - about a hundred, all told.
In addition to celebrating the importance of Hannukah in general, Danon and Neuman said that "this year we are remembering the hostages, who are still in darkness, in the tunnels of Hamas, and we pray for the miracle which will bring them back home."
He also said that "we also remember the light...of a nation which knows how to arise and fight against dark forces."
Rabbi Neuman then said that they call on every Jew, "in every corner of the world," to light a candle in merit of the hostages and their quick return home."
