A 13-year-old Jewish boy was assaulted on his way to school Monday morning in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, according to Jewish Future Alliance Director Yaacov Behrman.
Behrman shared details of the incident on X, saying, “It keeps happening - another attack.” He reported that the boy was riding his bike around 8 a.m. between Winthrop and Clarkson, near the hospital, when a man slapped him in the face.
Shaken, the boy went straight to school, where staff contacted his parents and Shomrim, the local Jewish community security organization. He’s now in the process of filing a police report at the NYPD’s 71st Precinct.
In a follow-up post, Behrman wrote, “I spoke to the mother. A police report has been filed. The child looks younger than his age and is quite short. He can’t understand why someone would hit him in the face for no reason. What has happened to our society?”
