A Jewish single mother from Paris' 11th arrondissement, Nancy, has recently experienced an ongoing antisemitic attack against her, including antisemitic graffiti spray-painted on her door and mailbox and explicit death threats.

Nancy, who lives in the building where Holocaust survivor Mireille Knoll was murdered in 2018, told local media that for the past two months she has been subjected to repeated threats and humiliations.

The inscriptions that were discovered include swastikas, threatening red Stars of David, and serious threats, including the inscription: "Death to the Jews," "Dead Jew on the 10th floor" - the floor where Nancy lives - among other anti-Semitic messages.

Some of the inscriptions even spread to common parts of the building, including the stairs and the elevator compartment. In an interview, Nancy said that the attack had become a threatening daily occurrence, and that she feared it was someone from inside the building. "Neighbors I'm in contact with say there's no way anyone from the outside is responsible," she added.

"At first there was only graffiti, and then two weeks ago explicit threats were added. It just got worse," Nancy described, "I recently got a threatening phone call."

She said she felt threatened and at a loss after having filed six complaints with local police. "Every three days I find myself back at the police station to add another complaint. I don't sleep, I don't live. I feel like I've been abandoned here," Nancy said. Despite the recommendations to leave her apartment, Nancy insists on staying where she grew up, refusing to give in to threats.
