Anti-Semitism in Paris: Jewish woman brutally attacked and mutilated
Assailants carve swastikas into her skin and attempt rape; violent antisemitic crimes are on the rise in France.

A Jewish woman was attacked by three men at the entrance to her apartment building in the 19th arrondissement yesterday (Tuesday), according to Cnews.
The men threatened her with a cutter, shouting anti-Semitic slogans and mentioning October 7 in their remarks. The attackers then forced her to take off her pants, attempted to rape her, and the police officers who came to her aid saw that they had engraved several swastikas on her body. The victim managed to escape and it was her husband who called the police.
This is just one of hundreds of recent anti-Semitic incidents in France, which took place as of October 7 and in its aftermath.
At the memorial ceremony for the massacre held last night in Paris, community leaders took advantage of the presence of French Prime Minister Michel Barnier and Defense Minister Bruno Rettier, and read to the 4,000 attendees dozens of complaints about anti-Semitic attacks submitted to the police.
Antisemitic attacks in France have risen 192% since the October 7 massacre last year. Harassment in schools and high schools has doubled, with complaints of antisemitic assaults accounting for 58% of all complaints of racism – with France's Jewish community accounting for less than one percent of the population.
