A Leeds-based gas fitting company, Lindley Gas Services, has come under scrutiny for inflammatory social media posts targeting Jewish people and Israel. The firm's Facebook page, run by gas engineer Nahim Majid, featured content that has been characterized as antisemitic and inflammatory.
Among the posts were calls for attacks on "filthy Zionists" and arguments supporting resistance "by any means necessary" for occupied peoples. In one instance, the company posted: "For all you filthy Zionists dogs who who get upset by a flag go ... you filthy animals. I hope what is happening to the Palestinians happens to you and your families."
The company shared imagery comparing Israel to Nazi Germany, including a picture showing a Star of David intertwined with a swastika captioned: "The irony of becoming what you once hated." Another post featured an image of the Star of David being thrown into a trash bin with the caption "keep the world clean."
Lindley Gas Services also shared content from historically antisemitic sources. One post showed American industrialist Henry Ford alongside a quote from his controversial 1920s pamphlet "The International Jew: The World's Foremost Problem," which reads: "There is nothing that the International Jew fears so much as the truth, or any hint of the truth about himself or his plans."
The company's social media activity included posts criticizing those who question Israel's right to self-defense. One image stated: "Next time someone asks you, 'does Israel have the right to defend itself?' ask them, 'do occupied people have the right to resist occupation?' The correct answer to our question is always YES and under international law, it is 'by any means necessary'."
This incident follows a recent case in London where a plumber named Adam Loxley refused service to "Zionists," raising concerns about potential discrimination against Jewish customers by tradespeople.
Yorkshire Energy Specialist, a previous employer of Majid, confirmed to the Jewish Chronicle that he runs Lindley Gas Services. The company has been contacted for comment on the matter.
