Special Prayer at the Western Wall
Chief Rabbis of Israel in a Call to the Public
The chief rabbis of Israel, Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef and Rabbi David Lau, call to participate in a prayer meeting at the Western Wall that will be held on the eve of Rosh Chodesh Shvat.

The Chief Rabbis of Israel, Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef and Rabbi David Lau, are calling on the general public to participate in a prayer and outcry rally that will be held next week, Wednesday, the eve of Rosh Chodesh Shvat, at the Western Wall Plaza.
At the beginning of the chief rabbis' letter entitled
"וַיִּצְעֲקוּ אֶל ה' בַּצַּר לָהֶם מִמְּצוּקוֹתֵיהֶם יַצִּילֵם"
("And they cried out to God in distress, from their afflictions He will save them"), the rabbis write about the difficult situation prevailing in the Holy Land, when the war "has killed many and everyone's heart aches for the fallen."
And so the chief rabbis call on the general public to "come together and stand up for themselves" in a prayer meeting that will be held with the majority of people, next week, Wednesday the 29th of Tevet, the eve of Rosh Chodesh Shvat, at 3:30 p.m., in the remnant of our temple on the Western Wall plaza.
The chief rabbis also call on all educational institutions and yeshiva members who cannot come and participate in the assembly at the Western Wall plaza, to hold a special prayer on the eve of Rosh Chodesh.
