Hanan Ben Ari On Alina Falahati Burial

Hanan Ben Ari: "Judaism knows how to be flexible when it wants to"

The singer-artist Hanan Ben Ari was hurt by the way Judaism treated the late Alina Falahati, who was buried outside the fence because she was in the process of converting: "It breaks my heart".

The singer-songwriter and composer Hanan Ben Ari has long since become the crowd favorite and the representative of the religious sector, even if he does not want it. In a story he uploaded last night (Wednesday) to his Instagram page, he criticizes the rabbinate and Chevra Kadisha for their conduct regarding the burial of the late Alina Falahati, who was murdered at a party in Re'im and was buried outside the fence, because, she had not completed her conversion process.

"I am a person of faith," wrote Ben Ari, along with a photo of the late Alina, "not a great tzaddik, but I studied some Torah in my life to know that Judaism knows how to be very flexible when it wants to be. It can't be that they didn't find a more sensitive and respectful solution, it breaks my heart."

Ben Ari is sure that there must be another way to solve things of this kind, and prays that precisely out of the darkness we will succeed in growing a healthy and embracing Israeli Judaism. "Forgive us Alina" he finishes the text "Our sister you".
