According to the tradition: thousands of Chabad emissaries from around the world gathered today (Sunday) for the 36th time in front of the Lubavitcher Rebbe's Beit Midrash in the Crown Heights neighborhood of New York. This year's gathering was held in prayer for the well-being of the inhabitants of the Holy Land and the rest of the Jewish communities in the world.

During the days of the convention held every year on the days before 'Shabbat Mevarchim' in the month of Kislev, the emissaries have workshops on Jewish matters in the order of the hour, visit the places of burial of Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef Schneerson and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson. The highlight of the convention is the traditional photo in front of the Beit Midrash of the Rebbe, building 770 on Eastern Parkway Street, where the Rebbe led the Chabad movement.

The meeting of the emissaries was concluded as every year with the banquet event, a special evening dedicated to the Chabad emissaries, in which the ambassador of Israel to the United Nations, donors and associates of the movement also participate. During the evening a census was held in which the number of emissaries in each country was counted. The event was held under the guidance of the deputy chairman of the Center for Educational Affairs at Chabad, Rabbi Moshe Yehuda Kotlersky.
