An exciting event took place today (Tuesday) in Jerusalem, as hundreds celebrated Simchat Beit HaShoeva together with people with disabilities at the 'Adi Jerusalem Center.' The Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Lau, participated in the joyful event.
Rabbi Lau chose to celebrate the Simchat Beit HaShoeva together with the children and adult students of 'Adi Jerusalem,' all of whom have severe and complex disabilities. The students celebrated alongside their families, staff members, volunteers, and neighbors who came to join the celebration.
At the 'Adi' center, it was noted that Rabbi Lau devoted a significant amount of his time, making sure to visit each and every student, dance with them, share in their joy, inquire about their well-being, and even bless their families.
Shlomit Grayevsky, the CEO of 'Adi Jerusalem,' said: "It's hard to put into words the joy that was present in the place. Everyone together in true unity and immense happiness. I am grateful to the Chief Rabbi of Israel for the great light he brought to the event and to each of the participants who came to rejoice in this wonderful celebration."
The Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Lau, said at the event: "I thank everyone I had the privilege to dance with; I have been to places of joy, but I have never been to a place of such great joy."
