Amid the already high security tensions, police forces and security forces prepared for the events of the Intermediate Days of Passover 5785 at the Cave of the Patriarchs and in the Jewish settlement in Hebron. According to the police announcement, approximately 25,000 visitors arrived on the first day of preparations, which passed without unusual incidents.

According to the announcement, from the early morning hours, hundreds of police officers from the Shai District in the Judea Region, YASAM combat officers and Border Police forces in the West Bank, police reinforcement forces, and IDF forces were deployed along the routes leading to Hebron, at the Cave of the Patriarchs, and in the Jewish settlement to provide security, maintain public order, and provide service to the thousands of visitors who attended the events and prayers at the Cave of the Patriarchs and in the Jewish settlement in Hebron.

The Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, and the commander of the Shai District, Chief Superintendent Moshe Pinchi, closely observed the forces' activities together with the Judea Regional Commander, Deputy Superintendent Eli Ziton, the Border Police Commander for the West Bank, Deputy Commissioner Niso Guetta, and the command staff of the Shai District and Judea Region. The operational preparations of the forces will continue tomorrow as well.
