Abominable Action
Jewish community center in Colorado hit by shocking antisemitic attack
Stones shattered windows and doors at a Jewish center in Aurora, Colorado. Authorities are working to uncover the identity of the assailant.

The Or Avner Jewish Community Center in Aurora Colorado, was vandalized at around 8:30 p.m. last Sunday evening. A man was seen on security cameras throwing stones at the windows and door of the building, breaking them.
"The rabbi came in at 6 a.m., he saw the damage, and immediately called the police," Yehuda Aminov of the Or Avner Community Center told the local FOX 31 channel. "Everyone was very surprised. We left Russia, the former Soviet Union, in the 1990s to get away from this kind of anti-Semitism." According to the report, the suspect did not break in, or steal anything.
"We have a lot of holy books there that are worth a lot of money. They decided to break some windows, they decided to make our lives a little harder, but as a community we are going to go through this period, and we are going to rebuild, hopefully to do it better," Aminov said. "Unfortunately, these things happen. It was a strong reminder from the past."
It has not yet been determined whether the attacker had anti-Semitic intentions, Aurora police are investigating, saying the Jewish center has never experienced such vandalism in its 20 years of existence.
The door has now been repaired, and the next step is to repair the windows, and fence off the structure. "There are people who will love us, and there are people who won't like us. If we stay together and continue to be strong and unite as one people with one heart, we will continue to survive," Aminov said.
